Political Bodies workshop is the result of the project Metamorphosis: Body, Psyche and Relationship developed by Dr Elisabetta Nalon, Dr Manuela Stucchi and C.I.D.P. (Italian Centre of Personality Disorders) with the class 5^ B – sez. OD of Istruzione Superiore E. Usuelli Ruzza Institut in Padua. It investigates how the individual faces psychical and relational development in adolescence. The body is the space where emotional and physical drives are inscribed, and to be able to elaborate and integrate these changes is a fundamental process in psychological development.

Run by artists Silvia Gentili and Paloma Tendero as part of ‘Political Bodies, L’ArTe è parte di Te’ exhibition in Padua in February 2019, the workshop focuses on the themes concerning the self, its perception and representation. Participants explored self-representation through photography, meaningful objects that they were asked to bring along, and by making conscious choices before taking a photo.

The photos were taken by class 5^ B – sez. OD students were shown in a showreel during the last days of the exhibition.
