My heart broke by the loss of you is a performance that explores the theme of disappearance and death. A lullaby for the death of a piece of ice collected from a street in Reykjavik. It started as a way to comprehend the phenomenon of crawling glaciers in a smaller scale and turned out to expresses the void caused by death.
For more than 4 hours I experienced the process of melting and 'dying' of the ice along with different states of mind, from grief to exhaustion, connecting it to the personal experience of taking care of someone loved through their illness till their death. I thought about glaciers and how quickly they are vanishing without being able to connect nature's time with my inner time. An inner time that is disrupted. I enter the stage as a woman to exit as a child.
